Calibration & Testing
Prior to shipment, all OPAL instruments undergo QA testing. 100 Series products are function and accuracy
tested and 200 Series systems undergo test certification to the requirements of the USEPA Performance
Specification #1. A copy of the PS-1 test report and certification is provided with each system.
OPAL Environmental operates under a Quality Management system equivalent to ISO 9001 and is
independently audited annually. All test equipment is validated to traceable standards.
Considerable investment has been made in dedicated, purpose built test facilities to enable us
to comply with PS-1 and other test certification. These facilities, most of which are not available
anywhere else in the Asia Pacific region, include:
16 metre calibration and testing track

|
Service shop and assembly areas
|
|
|
|
Designed for stable and accurate positioning of systems during calibration and testing. The test
track is suitable for up to 16 metre span calibrations and also allows for angular testing of optical systems.
|
Separate workshops are available for service shop repair work and product research and development. This
ensures that we can maintain high standards for manufacturing and testing at all times.

|
All instruments are required to undergo stability testing across specified ambient temperature ranges. A purpose
designed temperature cabinet allows all OPAL instruments to undergo precise ambient test conditions from
-10 to +60 DegC
|
OPAL distributors and customers can receive extensive training in all aspects of the use of OPAL products.
The facilities include dedicated classroom, demonstration equipment, and access to all areas of manufacturing
and testing. All training courses are tailored for each group, following standard formats.
